This new men’s Fair Isle design has been inspired by the Orkney coastline.

The Orkney Islands are situated off the Northern tip of Scotland, where the Atlantic Ocean and North Sea meet. Orkney consists of around 70 islands with only around 16 of them inhabited.

Brimming with spectacular scenery, including majestic cliffs, beautiful beaches amongst a craggy, rugged coastline, the Orkney Fair Isle reflects the colours, texture and feel of this wild and vibrant archipelago.

Our Orkney Fair Isle design is easy to wear and versatile, working well as a layering piece. Team with jeans or Chinos or add to tweed for an effortless town and country look. Great under a waxed jacket or gilet, with a plain, mini check or fine striped shirt for vintage, country appeal. For a more casual, modern look, wear under a simple crew neck T shirt.

Like all Michael Ross Fair Isle designs, Orkney is expertly crafted on hand framed knitting machines in 100% Wool at our workshops in England.
